This is a simple and tasty recipe that’s a great side dish to any meal. It takes very little time but delivers on flavor! Even if you think you don’t like cabbage, I encourage you to give it a try. It might just change your mind!
Roasted Cabbage Wedges
Ingredients
1 head green cabbage
1 tsp. avocado oil or melted coconut oil
2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
2 tsp. coconut aminos
Flavor God garlic lovers seasoning to taste
Flavor God Himalayan Salt and Pink Peppercorn to taste
(If you don’t have Flavor God seasonings, use garlic powder, sea salt, and pepper to taste)
*Crumbled bacon (optional)
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 425º. Rinse the cabbage and slice in half on the core. Slice again into quarters. Use your knife to cut off the bit of core on each wedge, which will make these much easier to eat. Place each cabbage quarter on a large rectangular piece of foil. Combine the oil, lemon juice and coconut aminos and drizzle over the wedges, using a pastry brush to coat well. Sprinkle with desired seasonings and bacon (if using). Wrap “envelope style” with the foil. They should look something like this:
Place on a baking sheet and roast for 30 minutes.
Unwrap and enjoy!
